DEBUT SINGLE
LOW is a dreamy, atmospheric exploration of vulnerability, longing, and the emotional weight of feeling neglected, longing for understanding, human connection, to be cherished. Blending lush dream-pop textures with ABIGAIL’s intimate vocals, the song creates a hazy, late-night world where melancholy and beauty exist side by side.
HISTORY OF
LOW was written in 2020 during New Zealand's first lockdown for COVID-19 and Abigail's first proper heartbreak. Beside herself, with the world adverting to chaos and what she thought her life would look like crumbling around her, she sat in her bedroom in silence, alone with nothing but a melody circling in her head to the intro of what will be her first and most streamed song currently released sitting at 13,000+ Streams on Spotify alone. LOW debuted alongside her music video that she directed, showcasing her city, Wellington, the Capital of Aotearoa, New Zealand, ending on Foxton Beach in the Manawatū - Wanganui Region, filmed by Judith Plester in 2023.

FREEFALL
is a soulful alternative pop track built around airy, expressive vocals and an emotive electric guitar melody. Layering modern synths and electronic drums over an organic musical foundation, ABIGAIL tells a symbolic story of emotional vulnerability, watching a relationship deplete into nothing and walking away forever changed by the one you used to love.
HISTORY OF
FREEFALL was ABIGAIL's second release, taking a similar approach to LOW but more contemporary Soul/R&B in the writing and production process. ABIGAIL made a switch in her creative direction by releasing a surreal music video showcasing Wellington in a different light. "People travel from all over the world to come and film in our backyard so why not us? We know all the good spots." 5 different locations all within Kapiti Coast and Wellington City, one of which quite literally was ABIGAIL's backyard. This vintage fantasy world follows a mystical elf getting lost through portals, embarking on an adventure of discovery and leaving transformed by the very creature she found along the way, not knowing that they were the key to finding home all along. Like all good things, it came at a cost, and that lesson will stay with her as she leaves forever changed by the experience. Co-directed and filmed by Sophie Overeem.
